CloseBig Island Bees' most popular Hawaiian honey, Ohia Lehua honey has a delicate, distinct flavor and spreadable texture. Found only in Hawaii, the Lehua blossom produces a white, smoothly crystallized honey. Perfect for sweetening beverages, cooking or simply scooping directly out of the jar. A favorite of tea drinkers because it doesn't overwhelm the taste of the tea.
Their Lehua honey is certified organic. They produce all their honey on the Big Island of Hawaii without chemicals, artificial feeds, miticides, heat, or filtration.
The Ohia Lehua tree and blossom are rooted in Hawaiian legend of love and fidelity. Picking the blossom is said to cause rain, representing the tears shed by princess Lehua as a result of being separated from her lover, Ohia. The symbolic blossom is displayed in a beautiful illustration on each jar. A perfect gift for Valentine's Day, an anniversary or as wedding favors.
